CAPWIRE DEVILS: Smoking hot!!!

Last October 16, 2004, the Capwire Basketball Team showed the seven (7) other participants of Maginet’s Gameball 2004 that they were a team to reckon with. The Capwire Devils team won their first game of the tournament against the AIU Knights with a score of 75-57. Despite a slow start, the Devils, coached that night by Rick Flores, picked up steam and never looked back. The Knights were shutout from the game in the first few minutes of the quarter, unable to score and just gaped at the 10 point Devil run. The Knights, despite their valiant effort, were not able to catch up with the Devils.

In another display of stellar basketball, the Capwire Devils reminded their opponents that they are one of the teams to beat in the Gameball 2004 tournament. The PBG Ballers, who won their first game against the CGM Panthers last Saturday, could only muster up 55 points against the Devils’ 78 during their match last October 21, 2004.
As predicted, the Capwire Blue Devils posted another victory when they won 87-74 against the CGM Panthers during their clash last 25 October 2004 at Makati’s Koliseyum ng Bayan in the Maginet-sponsored 2004 Gameball Tournament. The Capwire team, fresh from their 23-point victory over PBG Ballers last week, started the quarter with a bang. The Panthers could only counter the 12-point Devils’ run with a single free throw shot and were unable to wrest the lead from Capwire throughout the entire game.
